As the pandemic bore down, most businesses rushed to deploy digital transformation projects to help address this new reality. But the survey findings from more than 4,000 employees in the Americas, EMEA, and APAC suggest these initiatives either didn’t go far enough or were implemented in silos without a unified vision. In fact, 42% of respondents think that digital transformation may have even increased their job complexity.
Monotonous tasks are amplifying employee unhappiness and uncertainty and they would welcome new processes and technologies such as automation to allow them to focus on work that matters, according to the report by UiPath, an enterprise automation software company.
“Our strong business growth is one of the key factors for talent hiring across different verticals, be it product and engineering, or customer success. We are now expanding across different markets, making in-roads into newer locations and are going where the talent is,” said Ramya Sampath Sharma, chief people officer, GreyOrange.
The survey of more than 1,000 business leaders representing multiple industries with revenues of more than $1 billion, finds that more 93% of respondents have accelerated the adoption of workplace transformation strategies during the last year, and 55% of companies say that digital transformation will have the largest impact on workplace transformation.
